COLOMBIA—A Life Transformed
The slums of Bucaramanga, Colombia are filled with violence—violence that breeds
abuse, neglect and paralysing personal pain.
Tatiana’s anguish seemed too much to bear. As a young girl, she ran from an abusive home to a man who showed her love but later she was betrayed. By the age of 19, Tatiana was an alcoholic with a two-year-old son.
Feeling worthless and unloved, Tatiana was surprised when Christians from a local church visited her. While she allowed them to come into her home, Tatiana remained suspicious. But when the visitors returned for the third time, Tatiana was convinced they really cared
about her.
“They opened the Bible with me,” says Tatiana. “I read the Bible for the first time in my life. I saw that God really loves me and I am no longer alone.”
Tatiana began living a new, transformed life in Jesus Christ. Today, she is part of a loving church family and she is raising her son to know Jesus.
Through Bible League’s Project Philip and Church Planter Training programs, Christians are being trained how to share God’s Word with people like Tatiana. With a growing number of people becoming Christians each day in Colombia, more Bibles are desperately needed.
Just $70 provides 10 Bibles with Bible study lessons.
