From the National Director,
Dear Bible League friend,
For years, mission
agencies felt that
certain areas were impenetrable because
of the various religious
strongholds that were
present. But as you read in his newsletter, God’s
glorious light is breaking through—even into these
hostile places. The oppressive darkness is overcome by the light of God’s Word..
I have recently returned from a trip to Ethiopia. There I met with local Bible League workers involved
in church planting and leading Bible studies. I was so encouraged by what I saw. These faithful Bible
League workers persistently reach out with God’s Word—despite all the opposition they
experience.
As Muslims enter the time of Ramadan (13 September
to 12 October) many will be seeking truth. Will you
pray for Bible League workers around the world, who
will reach out to Muslims using God’s Word? Also,
will you pray for persecuted Christians who face
increased opposition during this time? Thankfully
we know that the light of God’s Word, when placed in
hands and hearts can make an eternal difference.
Every Blessing,
Grahame Smith
National Director
