China—Penetrating remote regions
Bible League workers in China take many risks in delivering Bibles. But even in the remote areas, the demand for the Bibles is very high.
One hundred years ago, western missionaries came to small people groups such as the Lisu, Miao and Yi to share the Word of God with them verbally. Now the book of Genesis for the Lisu, 1 and 2 Timothy for the Miao and Proverbs for the Yi have been translated from the Chinese Bible.
Evangelism in these isolated communities was extremely hard. But now that these Christians are reading God’s Word and equipped with Bible studies, they are evangelising!
"Just go and preach the Gospel," shares a Church Planter. "My parents previously refused to hear the Gospel. But God is powerful—their hearts changed. On his deathbed my father admitted his sins and received forgiveness. Both were baptised.
Several months later he passed away but at his memorial service, more than 20 members of my family heard the Gospel."
Stories like this are possible because people have access to God’s Word. With your prayers and gifts, more Christians in China will have a Bible—so that their faith can be nourished and they can share God’s Word with those who need it.
Over 50 million Christians in China don't have a Bible.
