In Nigeria, the regions where Christians experience the highest number of persecutions are also the same regions where there are the greatest opportunity to reach out with the Gospel.
But people in remote regions of Nigeria are missing out on the Gospel message because there aren’t enough Bibles, reports Bible League’s national director of Nigeria. “Through the ministry of Bible League, thousands of people have come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ,” he says. “To reach out to a greater number of Nigerians with the message of the Gospel of Christ, there is an urgent need for more Bibles.
"The Lord has just opened the gate for a mass harvest"
“Last year we were unable to meet the growing demand for Bibles. The Lord has just opened the gate for a mass harvestof the people from a large tribal group. As of today, we have only been able to place less than 2,000 Bibles out of the over 40,000 that will be needed for this region.”
There are more than 490 ethnic groups in Nigeria and many of them are open to the Gospel message. The spiritual effects of folk Islam and spiritual oppression are a major hindrance to people coming to Christ. God’s Word can change this! Will you donate and help provide Bibles for Nigerian people?
