Islam was enough for me,” says Hamel from Central Asia. “Still, I closely observed my brother’s life when he became a Christian. Finally his actions convinced me that there is a transforming power that can make a difference.”
Hamel longed to learn more about God but was afraid to ask questions. “One day, as I was thinking about Jesus Christ, He appeared before me and called me to follow Him.
Shortly after that, someone invited me to a house church group. We read God’s Word and sang songs. There I realised that God can have a personal relationship with a person—someone like me! My desire to serve Him and live for Him grew daily.”
After completing Bible League training at his church, Hamel started two Bible study groups and engaged seekers to study the Word of God.
The Word of God is powerful. Your prayers and gifts will bring God’s Word to where the spiritual hunger is growing and the need for Bibles is great. To provide Bibles for persecuted Christians, click here.
| In Central Asia where Christians are routinely persecuted, many are still eager to know God and read the Word of God. Despite the fact that several governments try to restrict the spread of the Gospel, many people continue to complete a Bible study with a Bible League-trained study leader, repent and be baptised. We invite you to pray with us for these Christians. |
