RUN4BIBLES—School students run to provide
God’s Word.
Hundreds of Sydney school students have participated in Bible League’s inaugural RUN4BIBLES event, designed to help students make an eternal difference by providing God’s Word.
Students from Thomas Hassall Anglican College, Covenant Christian School and Penrith Anglican College took part in RUN4BIBLES throughout early April. RUN4BIBLES is designed to coincide with the school’s annual cross-country program, with the student’s family and friends sponsoring them to run and place Bibles or New Testaments in a region of their school’s choice.
So far, Covenant Christian School has provided Bibles for Bible-less Christians in China. Penrith Anglican College has provided Bibles for Bible-less Christians in Africa and Thomas Hassall Anglican College has provided New Testaments for the Burarra people, an indigenous aboriginal group of central north Arnhem Land in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Bible League’s National Director, Grahame Smith, said that the response to the initial RUN4BIBLES event has been very positive.
“RUN4BIBLES provides a great opportunity for students to participate in an event which will make a tremendous difference in the lives of others,” Grahame said. “Lives will be transformed as God’s Word is read, believed and put into action.
“Through using Bible League’s RUN4BIBLES educational resources, students can learn about the Bible, about the great need for Bibles and help raise funds to help fill the Bible-gap.
“Teachers from Covenant Christian School found that RUN4BIBLES provided an added incentive for all students to get involved in their school’s cross country event, some who may not usually participate.
“Thank you to all the students who have participated in RUN4BIBLES and thank you to all the teachers, parents and friends who have supported the event and sponsored children. Lives are being transformed as God’s Word is provided.”

Praise God for the Bibles that were provided for the Burarra people, Chinese believers and African Christians. |

Pray for the Christians who will receive their own Bible for the first time. Pray that God’s Word will speak to their hearts, increase their faith in Jesus and stir them to share the Gospel with others. |
