WALK4BIBLES—Queenslanders get ready to provide God’s Word.
With more than 777 walkers and 3,677 sponsors having already taken part in WALK4BIBLES events across the country—it’s now Queensland’s turn to walk and make a difference in the lives of persecuted Christians.
WALK4BIBLES will be held in Queens Park, Toowoomba on Saturday, 6 September and in Southbank, Brisbane on Saturday, 13 September. Entrants can walk 7 or 14 kilometres, pray for the persecuted while they walk and each $7 raised through sponsorship will provide a Bible for a Bible-less persecuted Christian.
National Director of Bible League Australia, Grahame Smith, says WALK4BIBLES provides a fantastic opportunity to actively make a difference in the lives of persecuted Christians.
“By doing something as simple as walking, they are impacting the lives of so many persecuted believers,” he said. “They will be able to read verses of encouragement, be strengthened in their faith and share God’s Word with others. Already Christians across Australia have provided 13,261 Bibles for persecuted Christians.
“I encourage Aussie Christians to walk or sponsor a walker in either Brisbane or Toowoomba. You can also host your own WALK4BIBLES event in your local community.
“It’s an opportunity to fellowship with other Christian believers, pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters and place God’s precious Word of hope in their hands.”
