Dear Praying Friend,
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
How often do we praise God when we are stressed or experiencing trouble?
I was challenged last week when I received news from Myanmar (Burma). Christians continue to give thanks to God despite the tremendous suffering they are experiencing with the devastation of Cyclone Nargis. You can read the praise and prayer points in this week’s E NEWS.
When we give praise and adoration to the Lord, we remain focused on who He is and what His promises are for us. In Philippians 4:6, we are encouraged to not only present our requests to God but to also come to Him with thanksgiving. As the verse continues, it says that God’s peace will transcend all our understanding and guard our hearts. Isn’t that incredible?
I encourage you to come to God with thanksgiving and praise in your difficult circumstances, you’ll be surprised by the peace you’ll experience!
Every Blessing,
