Bible League E-news
13/02/2008 Issue # 86 Past Issues
Dear Praying Friend,

“…to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Colossians 1:20

It was through Jesus that God ‘reconciled to himself all things’.

But what does reconcile actually mean? Simply it means to restore or to bring into harmony or agreement.

We have heard a lot about reconciliation lately, especially today as the Australian Government plans to say sorry to the indigenous community.

But there was an even greater reconciliation that took place over 2000 years ago when God reconciled sinful mankind to Himself.

Through God’s mercy he redeemed us through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus. It’s through Jesus that we now have peace with God.

As you read E-News today you’ll see how God is still reconciling people to Himself.

In Maningrida, Bible League’s Project Philip Bible studies are bringing indigenous people into a deeper relationship with the Lord and in India, some 109,256 people have been baptised through Bible League’s ministry in 2007.

Praise God for reconciling people to Himself through Christ Jesus!

Grahame SmithEvery Blessing,

Grahame Smith
