“We are grateful to Bible League and their faithful partners for publishing the New Testament,” says a Huaylas Quechua-speaking believer in Peru.

“Please thank them for us, tell them that because of their faithfulness we will someday worship God together in heaven!” says a Tephenhuan-speaking believer in Mexico.

Worldwide: New church members boom shows impact of Scriptures placed

When we see more people engaging in Bible studies and new members joining churches, it tells us one thing—the power and the authority of God’s Word is truly at work.

We thank God for bringing more people into a deeper relationship with Him through His own Word. This is also one of the most desired impacts as stated in Bible League’s mission statement.

In 2007, Bible League was able to baptise a total of 539,154 believers, committed church members, which is a 27% increase over last year and also the highest ever in the history of Bible League’s ministry.

This result was only made possible because God’s Word is powerfully transforming people’s lives. In many places, the extreme circumstances only creates a greater spiritual hunger.

In parts of Central Asia, where many are persecuted for following Christ, the number of Bible study completions was 90% higher than the previous year. In Zimbabwe, where economic collapse with an inflation rate soars to nearly 8,000%, we are amazed at the 29% increase in Bible study graduates, over the previous year.

In Colombia, the number of graduates was even up by nearly 76.2%—among them were the guerrillas, paramilitaries and even drug trafficking criminals, whose lives have now been transformed eternally by God’s Word!

“We see the impact of God’s Word in the economy, industry, academia and in the politics,” says Bible League’s National Director for Colombia.

“The changes has taken place in major cities and remote areas, even in regions that have been characterised for a long time as a dangerous areas of conflict,” he adds.

God’s Word is shining out the darkness!

You can be a part of this ministry. Your prayers and gifts will make a huge difference in someone’s life.
