Kenya—Christmas Appeal: Bibles for Kenya urgently needed
Bible League is providing an opportunity for people to support two Evangelism Impact Zones in Nairobi and Marsabit, two very Bible needy areas of Kenya, as part of its Christmas Appeal.
Bible League will train local people as Church Planters and evangelists to establish Biblical churches, disciple new believers, evangelise the lost and place Bibles with persecuted Christians. These evangelists urgently need 10,000 Bibles for their 2008 ministry work.
“We have 35 people who have completed the Bible League Project Philip Bible study 'Steps to Victory' and 18 people have completed the discipleship study 'Bearing Fruits',” says Omuluppi, a Bible League church planter. “Being a new church plant, many people don’t have a Bible.”
There are 104 new churches that have been planted through Bible League’s ministry in 2007 and like Omuluppi’s church, they ALL need Bibles.
As part of the Christmas appeal, a FREE ‘Making a Difference’ Volume 2 DVD about Bible League’s ministry is being made available. This five minute presentation tells the story of Pastor Andrea, a Kenyan church planter in Marsabit, one of the Evangelism Impact Zone areas.
“Imagine the difference it will make to people when they receive their own Bible,” says Bible League’s Australian National Director Grahame Smith. “People’s eyes will be opened to the truth.
“This Christmas we’re hoping many Christians will help in changing someone’s life for eternity, giving Christians freedom and giving the persecuted hope.”
