Bible League E-news
In This Issue #81
31 October 2007

From the National Director

Dear Praying Friend,

“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)

Another new device was launched recently in England for people to download the Bible to their mobile phones. It was said to facilitate young Christians to access the Bible easily without carrying the book with them, and to encourage them to use the Bible daily rather than once a week.

While more and more resources are developed in western countries to help Christians read the Bible, let us not forget that there are still millions of people who are waiting for their first copy of the Bible.

This is the very vision that encourages those who make the Bible available for the first time for Burarra people in the Northern Territory in Australia. This also sustains Bible League’s workers in Zimbabwe to continue ministry in the region despite extreme difficulty.

As you read this report, may you be touched by God’s amazing work in the world and be encouraged to take part through prayers and gifts.

Grahame SmithEvery Blessing,

Grahame Smith

National Director
