Bible League E-news
In This Issue #77
5 September 2007

From the National Director

Dear Praying Friend,

"Brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly…and pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men."
(2 Thessalonians 3:1-2b, NIV)

The persecution that the Apostle Paul mentioned in his letter was harsh and real. So is the persecution faced by 200 million Christians today, all around the world.

In this report, you will read about the new threats of persecution faced by Cambodian Christians. But like Paul, these persecuted Christians urge us to pray for them, that they may be delivered from the wicked, so that God’s Word may spread rapidly.

Last year, more than 20,000 Aussie Christians joined us in the Bibles for the Persecuted program to pray and to help provide Scriptures for persecuted Christians. The suffering and the need of the persecuted has always been a burden in the hearts of those who involved in Bible League’s ministry. Will you join us to respond to their plea?

Grahame SmithEvery Blessing,

Grahame Smith

Bible League Highlights
A Light in the Dark

Over 200 million Christians face
persecution everyday

Persecuted Christians are often fined, tortured, imprisoned, killed, denied jobs or being rejected. They also DON'T have a Bible.

God's Word is a LIGHT in the DARK

When, amidst this darkness, persecuted Christians receive Bibles—God's light—it gives them eternal hope and boldness.

Now you can help!
