Day 17 - Ethiopia
Ministry is thriving as God’s Word is provided
Bible League’s ministry in Ethiopia is experiencing the fastest growth in the eastern Africa region. Our latest ministry results show that in Ethiopia last year:
- 376,124 Bibles were placed into people’s hands.
- 46, 367 people graduated from a Project Philip Bible study
- 6,718 new Bible study groups were established.
- 7,694 people became new church members
- 4,459 people were trained as new Bible study leaders
“Several pastors have expressed their appreciation of Bible League’s Project Philip study materials,” the ministry director of Bible League in Ethiopia said. “The youth coordinator from Full Gospel Church mobilised his denomination’s congregations around the country, using Bible League materials.
“He testifies that Bible League materials have provided a much needed bridge between members and their local churches that brought unity and increased fellowship within the denomination.
A leader from Campus Crusade, who coordinates the student ministry, placed 500 copies of the Project Philip Bible study booklets in a period of three months. He said the Bible League materials are good for “doing simple evangelism, for spiritual formation (development), for Christian discipline and in creating new levels of commitment to Jesus Christ”. Bible League is blessed to be providing study materials that are in the heart languages of the people served.
