KAZAKHSTAN—God’s Word is equipping and transforming lives
The Christian church in Kazakhstan continues to grow despite the Kazak people’s strong cultural connection with Islam and the growing threat of persecution.
According to Operation World, the number of Christian believers in Kazakhstan has grown from almost none to around 15,000 in 2010.
Bible League in Kazakhstan has seen this growth reflected in their ministry. Over the years, Bible League has reached thousands of people with the Gospel message by equipping churches with the Bibles, Bible studies and training they need to share the Gospel message.
Raiya is a believer today after studying the Bible with a Bible League-trained Christian.
“I will always be grateful to God that He gave us the Bible,” Raiya says. “Right now, I’m starting to understand how the Bible can direct my life. I’ve been carefully reading and reflecting on God’s Word for some time now. Today, I see how God speaks to me through the Bible. I especially love to meditate on His Word in my quiet time with the Lord.
“The Bible study lessons helped me grow in my knowledge of God’s Word. The Bible opens up new ideas to me. Now, I don’t want to go a single day without reading His Word. If I’m not able to read my Bible, somehow I feel like something isn’t right, as though I have forgotten to do something important.
“I thank my Heavenly Father that He wrote this ‘letter’ for me. I thank Him that He takes care of me. I’m grateful to have the strong support of His Word and want to share the Bible with others.”
