Second Print Run for Reflections CD 'In Word and Song'

Bible League is proud to announce a second print run for their new, all-Australian CD ‘Reflections in Word and Song’.

The CD is the brainchild of Bible League CEO Grahame Smith, who wanted to meet the needs of people who either can no longer get to church, or who simply enjoy traditional hymns.

The CD has been made available free of charge to anyone who requests a copy, but all requests have to come through Bible League. They are not simply being handed out willy nilly!

The CD boasts traditional hymns sung by multi award-winning entertainer Stephen Fisher-King, who is reknown for his rich and classically-trained baritone. Stephen has starred in many operas and musical theatre productions, including Evita, Hello Dolly, Cats, Westside Story and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. He has also sung the National Anthem at Rugby League’s State of Origin!

Bible passages are read by multi-media personality Leigh Hatcher, a Sky newsreader who has recently taken over the Open House program, syndicated right across Australia.

The CD was recorded at Sydney’s prestigious Albert studios and produced by musical director Steve Wyatt, who has worked alongside Australia’s leading entertainers for more than 30 years, including Bert Newton, Anthony Warlow and Marina Prior. He was also the musical director for the Story of Christmas at Darling Harbour and the Great Gospel Concert at Sydney Entertainment Centre. 

Grahame says Bible League agreed to cover the costs of several thousand more CDs in a bid to meet demand.

“We wanted to give something back,” says Grahame. “This CD has been produced and recorded by the best in the business. It’s a professional product of which we are extremely proud.

“It’s heartening to receive such an overwhelming response, and also wonderful to hear the appreciative feedback we have received from people who love the Bible readings and hymns.”
