Anglican Retirement Residents Receive Free CD
Every resident of the Anglican Retirement Villages, Castle Hill, Sydney, will receive a free copy of Bible League’s new CD ‘Reflections in Word and Song’.
The CD includes a mix of Bible readings by newsreader Leigh Hatcher and beautiful hymns, sung by award-winning entertainer Stephen Fisher-King.
Rev David Tyndall, chaplain of the Anglican Retirement Villages, says the hymns and passages on the CD are perfect for the residents.
“It’s familiar material,” he says, “and people find comfort in that.
“I believe Reflections has been theologically well put together, and I appreciate its evangelical approach.”
David says the CD format is also perfect for an older audience.
“CDs are tangible, and able to be used by older people who are unfamiliar with new technologies. The CD format makes listening easy.”
‘Reflections’ is the brainchild of Bible League CEO Grahame Smith, who wanted to develop a resource for people isolated from a church environment.
“This free CD will provide encouragement and comfort to those who can no longer attend church on a regular basis” says Grahame.
“There’s a stability that comes from these classic hymns and we know this will be of great benefit to the residents of Anglican Retirement Villages."
“People across Australia are generous in their support of Bible League’s ministry of providing Bibles, resources and training to churches around the world. We wanted to give something back to them as well as the wider Australian community.”
‘Reflections in Word and Song’ is now available free of charge from Bible League to everyone who wants one. There is no limit to circulation.”
