Op Shop Ministry
Imagine volunteering at a second-hand shop with other Christians from different denominations for one common goal—to raise fund to provide Bibles for those who have longed for one.
Bibles for Missions Opportunity Shops are shops dedicated to raise funds for Scripture placement around the world. Their basic purpose is to receive donated goods from businesses and the general public and then to sell them to the general public. All funds, after expenses, will be given to Bible League for Scripture placement.
There are currently 2 shops in Australia dedicated to raise funds for Africa, one in Blaxland (NSW) since 1997 and one in Asquith (NSW) since 1998.
WHY?
In most African countries there are more than a million Christian homes and millions of seeking non-believers who need a copy of the Bible to learn about Jesus Christ and His church.
HOW?
CONTACT the shops if you have clothes or household items that could be sold to help raise funds for Bibles through the world.

VOLUNTEERing experience earned: The shops provide a great opportunity for retired or semi-retired people and others to make substantial contribution to the placement of Bibles around the world.

The Blaxland Op Shop
Since the Blaxland shop's inception in 1997, volunteers, under the leadership of John and Robyn Emery, have worked tirelessly to raise money through the sale of pre-loved bric-a-brac.
Strongly supported by local churches and the community at large, the shop has never been short of stock and there is a constant flow of customers.

The Asquith Op Shop
Opportunity shop in Asquith is stocked with a vast selection of clothing, books and toys all at incredibly low prices. The shop relys totally on donations from the public and are staffed mostly by volunteers. If you are moving, downsizing or just turning out your cupboards and have spare books, bric-a-brac or clothing in good, clean condition.
